These, I like!

Any possibility of a Long Bin SSG? Possibly the coolest version of the Whiskey, in my humble opinion!

Mike.

Default Projekt 665 / Long Bin

I actually am working on several variants of the W class. the modifications will all be included in the seperate conning files, but I`ll have to try first if the game accepts tubes connected to a conning and not to the basic hull file. otherwise, i`ll do it the usual way. It is worth a try, hower the soviet navy considered the missile-carrying variants a failure due to their very decreased submerged speed (10, max 12 knots).

Combine the Conning Tower files with the hull like I did in the Permit I sent you and you should have a problem with the Long Bin at all.

Projekt 613 Refit WIP

Hello! Since some People asked for a better version of the Whiskey V, i started to rebuild my old model. the hull and Conning have been rescaled to the correct size and the hull has been reshaped as i found new detailed plans for the sub. next thing is the redesign of the Conning tower, the adding of floodholes and new torpedo-tubes and-flaps and a pressure-hull model.i`ll keep you posted!

some shots of the current progress:

-removed old conning base and properly widened the deck below the conning; note the shorter conning, the exhaust tube and the reling are in the old position, also the conning has been move slightly towards the bow

-added a proper splashshield to the forward sail

-the bow has been redesigned since the position of the tubes was wrong
TO HOTMANANDRE: is the bow shape correct? i found a different shape with a recess for a forward sonar (ARKTIKA-M maybe?) just below the forward tubes on the original blueprints, but the Photographs of docked 613´ show a bow the way i made it? any idea?

-the forward sonar dome is now part of the hull

-the stern section has been remade, position of the stabalizer has been corrected

-the shape of the hull diameter is now correct, according to the line drawing of the original.
