Default Buying Uboat missions: Steam or disc?

I am thinking of upgrading my game to 1.5. You're probably thinking, "get with it, that came out years ago." I know, I know, I've been pretty content with the US Fleetboats but I've looked at some videos of the uboat missions add-on and it looks pretty cool. ALso most mods aren't made for 1.4 anymore.

So....should I just get it on steam or am I asking for compatibility / mod issues with that?

Personally, I'd buy a hard copy (disc). I've read too many horror stories about Steam. That's just my personal opinion.

Ok. Thanks for the suggestion. Can you still download it from Ubi or direct2drive? I think for a while people were doing that.

I tried to buy it from Steam back when that was the only way you could get it. They told me that since I lived outside the United States they couldn't sell it to me. I guess they're right - I live in Utah.

The more I think about it, the less likely I am ever to download a game. Too many chances of losing it.

I love steam. I use it to buy nearly all my games and everything works out fine, most of the time.

However, this is not one of those times. The Steam Version of SH has a LOT of issues. Not so much if it's just stock, but once you get the U-Boat addon, things go to piss.

If I could go back and undo it, I'd have bought a hard copy for this particular game.

Always go for the disk when you can. IMO, you don't truly own a game unless you have it on disk.
