would it be possible to make a shell with a water interaction node on the shell (with a missile 3d model) so that when it enters the water it generates a torpedo ?
just a thought for those on the modern subs mod keltos |

yes indeed.
The thing is, or at least what we noticed when trying to get torpedo planes to drop mk24 homing torpedoes, that we weren't able or that the game doesn't allow such a torpedo to be dropped from a plane. Regular torpedoes work, but if we are talking about hunting a sub, the weapon dropped by the ASCROC has to be a homing torpedo. a regular torpedo would've to be dropped short of the target for it to be effective. or it could also drop a hedgehog ? I know that the IJN had anti-sub shells of a special design, with a kind of a duck beak, which would enter the water as opposed to detonating when hitting the surface. keltos |
