Command Aces of the Deep, Win 95 version, under Vista 64
Has any one figured out how to run Command Aces of the DEEP, Windows 95 version, using Vista Pro 64 bit?
If so, exactly what did you do to get it to run? If no one has, what is as decent WWII European Threater Sub Combat Simulation that will run using Vista Pro 64 bit? Gregg |

http://dfendreloaded.sourceforge.net/index.html It does appear to be Vista compatible. I have a list of Submarine Simulators I run this way in another topic... ChristopherT |

d-fend reloaded is only a frontend for DOSBox, a DOS emulator.
Ace of the Deep is running very well with DOSBox because it is a DOS software, so it sure is running well with d-fend reloaded. But unfortunately Command Aces of the Deep is a revised version of Aces of the Deep designed to run as a window software, not a DOS one. So sadly it can't run with DOSBox (and so can't run with d-fend reloaded). You can try some of the installation tip for Command Aces of the Deep and hope it works. http://www.subsim.com/tips/tipaod.php Or try to find a dos version of Aces of the Deep that unlike Command version has no problem running with DOSBox on modern OS |
