Default Can the Uboats in SH5 be imported?

No. They are entirely different from what SH4 would expect.

The GR2 Exporter can export the 3D meshes though.
So they could be imported to dats and used in SH4.

Indeed, some games that is the only option available in the first place, so i say POSSIBLE!

Not a strait port though. So i guess both of you are right.

The 3D models in the SH5 .GR2 files can be exported to .obj files now.
Those can be imported into a .dat file that SH4 can use.
Hence you can have SH5 3D models in SH4 very soon.

Once I finish the texture mapping code?
It's a standard job for S3D.
