Default The U-Boat and Kleinst U-Boat Project

This project I'm starting is about creating some of the U-Boats that were never built and implementing them into SH 3,4 and 5 and possibly making them playable. Also to create some of the Midget Subs the Germans built and also making them playable for single missions.

I know this is a big project for a first time modder, and i'm sure some of you will be willing to lend a hand when you see the U-Boat's I will be trying to build.

But hey, no guts no glory!

Neger
Human Torpedo

Marder
Human Torpedo

Hai
Human Torpedo

Biber
To attack coastal shipping and help meet a threat from an Allied invasion.

Molch
Attack/Training

Type XXVII Hecht
Largest German midget Submarine

Type XVIII Seehund
Most Successful German midget Submarine

Delphin 1 & 2
Highspeed underwater prototype

Grundhai
Prototype Deep Sea Recovery Vehicle

Schwertwal
Streamlined midget prototype

Seeteufel
Equipped with tracks to crawl on the seabed!

Type III
Designed to carry 2 LS-Boats/mines in a outer hull. If only you could control this and then take one of the Boats out of the hull and take it for a spin in the middle of the atlantic.

Type XB
Minelayer.

Type XIB
The U-Cruiser.

Type XXVI
Similar to the Type XXIV but with a smaller crew.

Gradually the images you see will turn into 3d models and then into workable mods.

Well Sea Tiger the usual kind of help, someone to help me come up with skins, help to implement them into SH 3,4 or 5 etc. Especially as I am a first timer.

Cool Hotmanandre. I haven't seen any of these in any mods. Are they your own work?

Be very careful of takeing 3D models from some sites.
Those appear to be the De Espona 3D models.
They are copyrighted!

I did buy and still have the Biber from De Espona.
But that does not give me the right to convert it to SH standards and distribute it.

I used it to start buliding around for a new Biber for SH Games.
(Which I never finished doing)

Hi Kapitän Schneider,
is there any news on your work?
I am interested in particular Type XIV and Type X.

Can we expect to continue?

Hey Buker, i'm looking at some schematics of the Type XIV and Type X at the moment just doing the preliminaries.
But i've been working with DarkFish on creating the Biber. Check out my first post for a shot of my finished exterior of the Biber.

Hi Kapitän Schneider,

interested in technical drawings and photos of the XIV?
Would be nice to see the pregnant Uboat sailing across the screens, let me know if I could help!

One or two little errors in your first post:
Type XXIV: This type was not exactly similar to the XXI, but to the XVIII Walter submarine project (the hull design of which was taken to develop the XXI with its conventional powerplant). You are right about the "side" torpedo tubes firing towards the stern, the older XVIII had six bow tubes (like XXI).
The XXIs with "side" tubes (Schnee organ) are XXI B (6 side tubes) and XXI C (12 side tubes).
Type XXVI: Again a submarine with Walter turbine, but much smaller than XVIII, XXIV (or XXI), about the displacement of a VIIC. Only one shaft, 4 bow tubes (complete assembly taken from VIIC) , 6 side tubes, no reloads, no AA guns.
The first Type XXVI boats were actually under construction at the end of the war.
Dam your right, just looked at some of the schematics i've got, and on closer inspection the Type XXVI IS smaller than the Type XXI. I'll take your word about the Type XXIV, got very little information about it.

Is that a statement or a request about the technical drawings and photos Kurfürst? Tomw95 is currently interested in making the Milk Cow playable, and is making effort to do so.

Default Type XI U-Kreuzer

Type XI U-Kreuzer, formally hull of a Type IXD2, 15 inch guns again another piece of stock from SH3, barrels moddified slightly and turret is the 15 inch gun turret but with a duplicated turret stuck on the back.

For comparison i've added the Bismarck and a Type IXD2 (what the Type XI looked like before I applied my skills to it) the pink button looking thing on the top of the hull is the hatch for thr collapsable Arado Ar 231 floatplane.

Not bad for someone whose been working on this since monday and who only first started moddeling 3 months ago.

As I said, Type XXIV is basically a Type XVIII with additional 6 side tubes (and 10 reloads). Quite similar to XXI B or C, but with the Type XVIIIs Walter turbine powerplant instead of the large batteries and electric motors of the XXI. I don't have any plans for it.
Concerning XVIII oder XXVI, I have lots of plans and technical data.

I recommend this: http://www.amazon.com/Die-grossen-Wa...tt_at_ep_dpi_9

Hi Kapitän Schneider,

I´ve got quite a few pictures of Milkcows in action plus some "raw" technical drawings. I thougth the drawings are of a better quality than they actually are, but they´re scaled and have the realistic proportions, so they might be useful.
Please send me your email address via PM so that I can forward the pictures and drawings.

Best regards, Kurfürst
