COMSUBPAC Online Patrol Report Generator
version 1.1 Alpha

This online tool generates an US style patrol report, based on a historic model, out of one of your Subsim forum posts.

- compatible with modern browsers that support font embedding. Tested in latest versions of Firefox and Internet Explorer
- The layout may NOT be rendered correctly on older browsers!
- you can use the top-right area of each page to jump to the next one.

Usage
To be able to export the patrol report you need to follow some rules:

1. The patrol log should be contained between two tags, each on a new line:

[confidential]
...
patrol text here
...
[patrol end]

2. Patrol info should be entered using from, patrol and period:

eg:
From: U.S.S. Balao
Patrol: First
Period: from February 23 to April 6, 1943

3. Current usable date stamps are:

Month xx:
Month xx to Month yy:
Month xx-yy:

4. The link to your report is obtained from your post number. After you post take notice of the #x number in the top-right of the post window. Click it to obtain the link to your post, wich should be similar to:

Use the text p=1443952 (where 1443952 is your post number) to generate a link like:

March 17: Did not dive this morning. Visibility was excellent and sea calm. Had some difficulty in dodging all of the junks and trawlers to prevent being sighted.

0800; Dived on what we thought was a plane contact. After talking it over, considered contact was very likely a flight of three geese. Stayed submerged while a few junks got out of sight.

1000; Surfaced.

Many lighted sampans sighted during the night.

This text will not be a part of the report since it's outside the tags.

Requires enabled JavaScript.

One post / day.
Older reports will get deleted after one week.
Will add all the sub bases later.
