You know I don't think ol' Ringo gets quite enough credit as a drummer. I read a couple years ago about some fun testing they did where they got a group of people together and played them the (isolated) drum tracks from a bunch of classic rock songs.

Far and away, more Beatles tunes were correctly identified by more people just from the drum tracks than recordings by anyone else.

Of course I don't know diddley about the fine art of drumming* but I sure do like his beats.

And I guess this means John would've been 70 come October. *sniff*
