After completing my first objective I was given two more. Deploy to Gilbert Islands and Destroy Merchant shipping. I did both but only got credit for getting there. Destroy merchant shipping remains incomplete and I don't know what more to do to satisfy command. Any ideas? |

Only thing I can think of is too far from the area when sinking. Hey, at least you found ships in the Gilberts.

There is also a minimum tonnage you need to complete the sinking part

After reaching an objective and you find the shipping sparse you can go anywhere and sink enough tonnage to complete the mission. Go out of your patrol area and go to a known hot spot, sink a few ships.
I just completed a reach and sink mission to Caylan Island in the Luzon Strait by sinking two ships in the Mindoro Strait. After reaching the area and finding nothing I went to the Mindoro and found plenty of action. |
