Default Which platform is for the newbie the best to get a fast learning effect?

I wonder in another forum from a specialist in DW he said the best way to learn the Game fast, you started not! with subs, you have to started with the Helicopter and learn all about sensors..
Then go to the Orion, next to the ASW Destryoer and LAST go to the Subs?
If you make this you learn fastest how the game works..
Can anyone confirm this?
And whats your opinion..which sub is the best sub to train the newbie?

Thx you

Helo is the simplest. Orion is somewhat similar to helo. Then sub (IMHO). Then FFG. FFG for sure has the most options.

FFG is definately the hardest, or at least the most complicated platform to learn. The helo is a good starting platform, but I think you can start with a sub if you prefer. As far as which sub to start with, it really depends mostly on which interface you like. The Akula and 688i are fairly similar in how they work and the Seawolf only has a few differences (like WAA). The Kilo however, is a very different animal and, while it may be just as easy as the others to learn, it is much more difficult to use effectively. So my suggested path would be Helo, P-3, nuclear sub, Kilo and lastly the FFG. I'm actually still wrestling with some aspects of FFG sonar and TMA and I've been playing this game for some time now.

There is trick to FFG TMA .. don't use it
Use towed array for initial contact only. Send helo to investigate and prosecute.

I would say that the 688i is the easiest to begin with.

The sonar on the Akula and Kilo are easy to learn and more user friendly compared to the US subs. Might want to consider that when choosing.
