Im actualy thinking getting one. Found some here in Denmark that comes with dynamic dive. A few years ago i made a plastic pipe sub that worked pretty ok...
I have most of the electronics from a few planes and a helo but im getting so hooked on that U-47 Torpedoes are not that hard to make, but i prefere electric ones over Gas. If you want fun (fairly cheap) i can recomend buying a boat and rig it with the turret from a RC Tank"panther/tiger" (BB) Had loads of fun last summer hunting people at the beach with my home made DD... Used wireless cam with crosshairs for aiming so one ran the boat and one had the gun. If you have big enough boat you can mount two turrets so you and 2 friends can hunt......great fun....You could proberbly make your own battleship with 3-4-5 Guns link it through a laptop and use software to run it... Im planning upgrading my boat so its ready when the sun starts to shine muuuhahahahaha' PS. DD home made raider Go to a toy store and find the biggest plastic ship you can find (need the hull) Same time buy a cheap RC boat (dont get the cheapest one) Change the hull so it can fit the RC drive and rudder (abit tangling but its worth it) Change the deck and superstructure to something you like. Cut of the top of the tank (that way its simply plug and play) Cut a hole in the deck of the plastic ship that will fit the top of the tank. Glue evrything toghter with silicon based glue, chack for leaks (turret cant be made waterproof 100% but you will know how to do this to make a seal that will work. Inside hull you waterproof as much of the electronics as you can, using (printboard from tank i put in a kondom with a rubber band to seal it) Mount the cam ontop of barrel (make sure you shoot in the sight at around 10m) Now you have a shooting RC boat. Im using wireless cam hardware on the laptop so cam image can be seen on that. Inside the bridge i have a cam that can move 180 degrees so i have a bridge look. I normaly operate the ship and a m8 is the gunner. Paint the thing with RC boat paint make sure that you can acces the internal. (i can take of the deck and superstructure including gun with 8 screws) add a small jolly roger YARR!! Trust me its damn fun even for an old man like me...
