While I know it won't mean much to you, I will pray for her. Hell, can't hurt can it? I also hope that they are able to keep it from doing harm, and if they are unable, that she find comfort and peace in the future. We can disagree all we want, but my heart goes out for you and your family, as well as her. Best wishes and my sympathy.

Thanks for everyone's support.

It's been a bit of an emotional roller coaster. For one thing, the pathologist who apparently identified my mother's alleged breast cancer has backpedaled and now says she doesn't think it's cancer (for sure). For about three days, I'd awaken with this horrible ball of stress in my gut, thinking my mother was going to die soonish. Now I just have to wait until my mother's lungs are in good enough shape for a further test to hopefully confirm the non-cancer diagnosis.

You know, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess my mom won't be skipping her oncology follow-up appts from now on!! I realize having one's breast mashed in what feels like an industrial press may not be fun, but it's better than the alternative!!

My days have consisted of getting up, letting out my dogs, doing various work which can't wait, going to the hospital to be w/my mom for a few hours, coming home to let out the dogs and maybe giving them a ride, doing some more work, going back to the hospital, staying until I'm almost falling asleep or my mom falls asleep, coming home and going back to bed. Repeat.

(My sister and father have some similar kind of schedule). Good thing my boss is one of my better friends!!!

With any luck, she'll soon be out and about, soon, and we can all get on w/our lives!!!
