Default Disabled yet up and running!

Hey man! I sank a British battleship on its way to Scapa. Four torpedoes hit her and she was disabled.

She had stopped and was leaning heavily to port so I decided to save the game and then start Fraps to get a good picture of her, but on reloading the game I see her up and running at speed (no list, no fire) though with the bars at the top showing that it need only a quarter more to sink her, which I did.

Is this a problem that has been sorted out with the up and coming patch or do we have to make sure we sink the ship before saving the game?

Oh yes and when I return to the fatherland will I get the brass bands and all?

It's a known bug unfortunatly. Never save around ships, especially dmg ones.

Did a raid on Scapa a while back, found a tasty BB. Had to go out, so I got into position and saved.

When I got home and reloaded, BB was gone.

Luckily there was a cruiser and carrier that had mysteriously appeared nearby.

Remember that Silent Hunter 5 is a simulation and it is all about realism.

So you shouldn't save your game and reload it later ... never !
As in real life.

There is no savegame bug, it is a feature.

Well it was just to load Fraps to take a pic. I didn't think anyone would believe me if I said that I had beaten my way past that heavy destroyer screen.

Obviously when you saved the game and went to bed, or watched TV, you gave the crew of the battleship enough time to repair the damage. I don't see the problem, all makes sense to me.
