Despite that my jaw dropped to the floor when I saw that my favorite movie of all times is actually the number 1 on the list (and kill yourself if you never watched... actually, watch before you kill yourself), LOOK AT NUMBER 64!!!

I was amazed when I saw it. I mean, for all of us here that movie is amazing, but to make #64 on a list that everybody on the planet voted?

Double jaw dropping.

Number 1 and 64 should be swapped IMO, I saw The Shawshank Redemption & thought it was boring!!

Wow, nice to see so many bona fide classics on there. Many of the newer releases, I suspect, will not stand the test of time.

But TBH altho I love Shawshank I would never rate it that high. I doubt it would make my top 250 at all.

Goes without saying that Das Boot would be ranked much higher for me, lol.

While Shawnshank Redemption is pretty awesome flick, I don't think it deserves the #1 spot.

Looking at that list, there's quite a few movies that makes me wonder just why they are there.

I'm curious-How do they rank the movies that have the same ratings? Obviously not by number of votes.

The voters were all IMDB members, probably younger and also probably limited to their own experiences. In other words, it all depends on who you ask.
