I saw the topic brought up before but I don't know if a resolution/mod has been made to fix it.
I'd like to be able to hug the bottom (or gently rest down on it) if possible. Right now it starts giving me damage when I'm like 30 meters up from the bottom (not over crush depth in case that's what you were thinking). Seems like somewhere in the code it's thinking (Graphics + 30 meters = actual bottom) in regards to depth warnings and taking damage, etc. Oh.. SH4 had a "smaller rocks and plants" mod. Could we maybe get something like that? It's terrifying being in shallow water (on the surface) and still slamming into 20 meter tall house sized rocks. ![]()

Great minds......I asked about it before and as yet I don't think anyone has done anything about it.
I didn't think rock size mattered to be honest, I have seen my boat just go straight through them |

Yeah, there seems to be a 'zone' around everything that extends 15-20m out. The external camera seems to hit these and they appear to be where the collision detection is recorded.
Kinda wonky and it should be fixed. |
