I`d like something inbetween of these two
![]() Maybe the second one little less green and bit more blue, it looks like there`s sand or something that makes it kinda swamp water. But I see it`s cloudy weather out there so I really don`t know ![]() |

hi w_clear,
Are the green and blue from the same area? in my oppinion the water-colour should only change colour (if it's the same ara) when the sky-colour changes F.ex. during sunrise/sunset or when it's cloudy/storm. You probably allready know the following ![]() Alot of the colour of the sea are detemined from the light and sky reflecting on the water and from small particles in the water f.ex. in areas like the pacific where the water are in a bright blue and sometimes allmost purple. BTW your new wave calculation looks very good in all of my tests ![]() Last edited by kriller2; 04-19-10 at 09:26 AM. |

If your talking in color such as dark colors and light colors, i would say dark colors. I did this experiment once and the darker water evaporated faster in sunlight because dark colors absorb alot of the suns rays.we will be mixing watercolor pencil pigments with glue. Water based PVA (white glue) can be colored using water based media, to use as a filler for small voids, gluing particularly conspicuous parts together or smoothing edge seams in paper models.

i was wondering when someone was going to notice the water is a bit dark , in silent hunter5.. lol i live near a beach and the water looks greenish.. deep waters however looks blueish.. the color of the water had a lot to do with how deep is the water and how much the sun shines.
cloudy days should make darker either greenish and blue waters.. will be nice if the mod not only change water with time but with how deep is the water. u have something here.. looking for this mod.. but when using real photos as reference.. (the way it should be) pay attention too if the day is cloudy or clear.. takes a lot carefull observation to do a mod like this.. coastal waters usually are greenish.. but not always.. far from the coast water is most of the time dark blue however.. i think ur third screenshot is a good one.. for coastal waters..
