Default Guess what? (Great News!)

I am able to run SH4 UBM on my laptop. "So what?" you say. But its not any laptop. Its a lenovo THINKPAD business laptop-as alien to gaming as computer manufacturers offer.

here are the specs:

14.1" inch, 1280x800, 60Hz
Intel C2D P8400 2.26 Ghz 3MB L2, 1066MHz FSB, 25 watt
2Gb DDR3 PC3-8500 1066MHz
Integrated Intel® GMA 4500 MHD
160GB 5400rpm SATA II
Windows & Ultimate 32-bit, fully defragmented
Gadgets turned off, Aero mode on, Microsoft security Essentials on, Windows Firewall on, Wireless mode on
Lowest Graphical settings (except vertical sync),
stock SH4 UBM with GFO mod installed

So what is the good news? If I can run it, so can many of the others here who need to game on their non-gaming laptop and yet use it for work related things. Granted, I'm running the sim on a clean installation of Windows 7, with only the usual drivers and software installed-However, I did not even have to resort to Enditall2. I get about 30 FPS in average, minimum of 15 due to explosions and max of 45 in a calm sea with no one else around, standing on the bridge. For me, this is perfectly playable, considering the circumstances.

If you have a low-end laptop and are wondering if this sim will run, this should be a good reference.

is Ur RAM upgradeable?? If so, make it to 3 or 4 gigs. Defrag Hard drive. and remember to restart after any installation for the registry to be updated..
