Default Reposition and Continue Patrol

In the first mission I took, I needed to patrol coastal UK on the east side and wrack up 50k in tonnage. Well, I got the tonnage and just recently received a quest update that told me to "Reposition and Continue Patrol".
Is this just a 'spend more time in the coastal waters order or should I be looking to leave the east coast waters?

Look for a new patrol icon on the map you'll find it's moved. Hope that helps.

Ahh, ok, Thanks!
Had not even looked to see if that icon moved
Seems silly of me now that you mention it.

Been sinking lots (maybe not recently when i got that message tho), 1st patrol out and got my 50+ k. Completely out of torps and deck gun shells (well, the guys won't shoot it anymore, is there a place to look to see # of rounds left?) Seemed about right though, max rounds was 220 i think it said, an I bet i shot that many
Will tour around the icon.

Only place I know of is man the deck gun and have a look at the shell count. To get a 'successful' mission (seperate to the campaign goals) you need to sink something in the vicinity of the mission marker.

Yes your patrol area icon will have been moved, and most likely to the Dover area to the south. Also if you have the 50,000 tons required check by clicking on the round icon with the iron cross in it and the box that opens up will have a bar at the bottom, and this bar fills in white as the tonnage racks up. If it is full, then your done but wait till you recieve the order to "cease all operations and return to base" before going back to port. You will recieve this, but not right away when required tonnage is reached and may take a few hours or so.
Till then just do what the radio message says and reposition.
I got repositioned twice on this mission, the first time it was to the Dover area, then again back up to near the area I was in to begin with. It was then that I run into a convoy that landed me the remainder of tonnage I needed,..........heh and then some. I wound up with 99,380 tons by the time I got sent back. But I also had to go and resupply before racking up that much. And I resupplied at Heligoland just north of Wilhemshaven, It's a tiny little island and is only for resupply. It asves you fom going all the way into Wilhemshaven.

Also by the time you get ordered back to port, it will have changed to Wilhemshaven and you'll know this by the fact that the diamond shaped icon will then appear at that port.

If you have sunk the 50,000 and it counted the round icon's info will look like this. and the iron cross in the box will have turned white as well as the first two crosses in the Total Germany box in the upper left corner of the map.

Ya, I have the 50k tonnage right, it is definitely completed. It is as you show there. However the mission itself is not completed (still says incomplete) and the orders are to Reposition.
Thanks for the clarification

May just tour for a bit by the icon. when I hit 50% fuel stores will head back and resupply and try sinking some more around the icon(s)

Yes just stay on patrol and continue as long as supplies and fuel allows and if you have to go and resupply. But soon you should get an order to return. Send a status report, that may speed BDu up.
But you'll eventually get the order and will look like this :
