How to create boats?
Hey,
I want to know how to create boats because I can't really find that out. Even not in the forums! Can someone help me? Thx. |

What is meant by "create"?
Do you want a new boat number? A different Type boat, that is historicly/historicaly (en. sp. ?) available? Or are you seeking to invent a whole new animal? |

There are several good free programs around. Everyone has thier favorite but I like Misfit Model 3D. http://www.misfitcode.com/misfitmodel3d/ A paint program that handles .TGA files for SHIII or .DDS files for SHIV. Gimp is a favorite free program and there is a plug-in for working with .DDS files. http://www.gimp.org/ This will get you started. Feel free to ask questions as you learn. That's how every Modder here has done it. ![]() I also suggest vast amounts of reading in the Mods Workshop. Reading older posts from the Merchant Ship Mod, VonDos Shipyard and such can yeild vast amounts of technical information. |

Creating animals is fairly easy actually......
First you need 2 of the same kind.......... Maybe a nice romantic bowl of kibble..... Some discovery wild planet........ And 30 seconds of alone time!!!! |
