Have completed my first PTO patrol.
I now have medals I can award to my crew...any guidelines/factors I should consider to make the best use of them? What does awarding medals actually do...increase leadership... improvement upon a particular skill? I have two different types to award...better to spread them around or award say one particular individual with both types? TXS |

I would be interested in some answer too.
Basically I think that rewarding your crew with medals is not really a part of the challenge in this game, it's more like a nice bonus for immersion. I always did what seemed most logical to me - never drew any noticeable drawbacks nor strong positive effects from it. |

I award medals depending on what stations played the biggest role in the last patrol. If the watch spotted targets or danger well, then some medals there. If torpedo loading played a big factor, then there. If I did a lot of maneuvering then the engine room. I usually give medals to my command room officers though. It's all about role playing, but I think medals may cause them to gain a special ability. Correct me if I'm wrong.
P.S. Instead of a title called "Noob Question", could you call it like "Medal allocations" or something along those lines next time.
