Default Morale question

I heard that later in the campaign some crewmembers will dislike each other and start fighting. Some will also turn nuts under pressure. You as the captain will have to deal with it. Do we have time for this? Is it actually true?

Then there will obviously be some roleplaying involved here, but I hope all this drama will be turned off with the morale mod.

Where did you get that idea? Crew will start fighting with each other? sometimes there is a hint by the 1WO that he is being teazed by the crew . Then i have to tell the bosun and thats basicly it i guess.

I was told by someone whos already into 41, unexpected things will happen with the crew if morale is low. But I have no idea what this is all about, thats why Im asking.

If it is true then that historicly correct. Ever see Das Boot, uncut?

Yeah you can bet that after a couple months at sea, in a Uboat cramped as can be, sharing a bunk with another crew member, smelling his and everyone else's stink, diesel, oil, and the sheer boredom that can last for what seems forever and not to mention long and arduous hours of bridge watch staring out at nothing but open sea, then once in a blue moon dealing with stark terror.
Yeah if that aint enough to get them at each others throats nothing will.

Nothing at all like a modern submariners life today.

Hmm...true enough, maybe I should disable the morale mod then just to see what happens

is it possible to disable the whole morale deal?

instead [as i mentioned in another thread] i'd prefer small chance of an individual crew member failing in someway, perhaps after prolonged depth charging. something like a random mechanical failure.

in the end, im the captain of a weapon system, ive got junior officers/NCOs to do the nurse-maiding. in the game it should be automatic.
