I would like to listen to the Sonar mylself. How can I do that?
Is there a Radio in the game, like in SH4?

Dont know about the radio, I've not much use for that but yes you can man the hydrophone. Just click on it, and you'll be there. But unlike previously in SH3 you operate(rotate) with the mouse wheel.
And yep, just like in SH3 I can hear ships that the sound guy cannot. However unlike SH3, my watchofficer can see things on the horizon that I cannot. He'll say, "Smoke on the horizon, bearing 250" and I'll say, "you can see that?" Man............. ![]()

As far as calling out targets, I'm able to see and hear far more than my crew, but I'm sometimes not able to lock things I can clearly see, which is horribly annoying since a lot of features require you to be locked. |

Aye Kylaina, yeah last night in tracking down our first potential kill my sound guy just cant hear apparently. I can clearly hear the ship, and now have almost gotten close enough for a sighting, but not quite.
WO has spotted smoke on the horizon, and when scanning with the UZO, for a momment the lock indicator flickered a couple times but the fog is hampering this. But still IMO if we are close enough for that to happen, the sound guy should have him on the hydrophone and ID'd by now. And his morale isnt low either. Seems quite happy after the meal Olaf served up. Im looking through the MODS to see what may fix this anomoly. Even though I'd rather wait out the next patch to see what they fix before starting to install mods in any great number.
