Default VII-A to VII-C in campaign

I was playing the campaign mode [again because all of my synchronized files were deleted btw] and whenever I return to base after my 2nd patrol i "receive command of a new submarine" to find that it is not a VII-B but a VII-C! Also, it is November 1939! Um.. didn't the VII-C come out in 1940? And there's a lack of consistency there, and I don't even think that there's any way TO GET the VII-B! What's up with that? Has anyone had this problem and/or found a solution?

Someone else had the problem i think. But it doesnt really make any sence in having a VIIB because it looks exaclt the same as a type VIIC exept for the wire cutter.

There still needs to be some type of consistency. Also the VII-C has a VII-B conning tower, while the VII-B has a VII-C conning tower.

Well, thinking about it, the slant on the rear of the VII-B conning tower on the VII-C slants outward in-game, while the actual VII-B conning tower's rear slanted inward, so you're partially correct, I believe. But still, they got it wrong.

According to one of the Dev's it's a carry over bug from the origional game engine and they were recently made aware of it adding same to the patch list of issues to fix.

I'm really amazed at all the KNOWN Bugs, that were fixed via patches, in both previous titles, only to have them resurface yet again in SH5.
