Default It's been nice knowing y'all.

I'm bidding you all farewell. Like others, I held out hope that SH5 would somehow shine like a diamond in the rough, a gem pulled from the sandy bottom of the murky English channel, and show us all what inspired creativity could do to, what was until now, a successful game title franchise.

Instead it seems that what we've received (based on user reviews) is a buggy, partially complete concept game, a sketch really, that shows promise in some areas (like morale and story) but ultimately insults the intelligence of those who might purchase and play this game.

The DRM situation is intolerable and all who purchased the game are rightly entitled to a full refund. They do not have access to the services for which they paid.

In this day and age, major game bugs should be history. No console game, no matter how cheaply made, would go to market with major bugs. Are PC gamers somehow less deserving of thorough beta testing and troubleshooting?

Beyond that, my iMac is currently impervious to video card upgrades so I likely can't run SH5 anyways.

So instead of purchasing SH5 and continuing to share my underwater exploits here, I've decided to leave the community. Not necessarily forever mind you, just until a sub title worth trading time from other activities in my life comes along.

I'll likely be lurking once in a while to see if by somehow this bad SH5 mojo blows away (like waking up from a bad dream) and the game magically turns into something stupendous.

I'm not holding my breath.

Anyways, it's been fun knowing y'all. Best of luck and take care.

Actually with the mods already out it has already turned into a much better game.
DRM is the only issue I have with it right now. At least major issue.

Get rid of the non-upgradable imac for gaming...... PC for gaming IMac for everything else....

So, for one game you do not like you wish never to post at a website dedicated to all naval games and other points of interests? Interesting. -shrugs-

Don't let the hatch hit you on the way out. (they are much heavier than doors, and might actually hurt.)

Thats a big step, but I dont really know what that means for you. Do you use to post here everyday and now you stop completely?

I surely hope there will be many more good naval simulators to come!

Well, our individual makep comes in many varieties and we all handle stress and confrontation in many different ways. Hell, I openly blasted Webster a while back after my trip home from a chemo treatment. It felt wonderful at the moment, but two hours later I felt terrible about it. Anyway, there's a lot going on that tests us in a variety of ways.
I wish you and others the very best, but believe you'll be posting again shortly.

Almost every game nowadays get a day-1 patch... deal with it.

Don't go! Your accessment of SH5 is pretty spot on. Stay and help us push Ubi for additional patches, stay and watch the mods work, stay and help us turn this lemon into a nuclear-powered lemonaide machine.

"turn this lemon into a nuclear-powered lemonaide"!! That's about the same as saying we'll turn this lemon into an atomic turd!!
