Hey all, like many of you i use a laptop to play sh3 + GWX3 on the go, i'd love to do this but many controls are difficult or impossible to use, and looking around is a chore with the slider pad, but i dont want to carry around a mouse with my laptop, as it works as a gigantic netbook just fine.
![]() or just give me some tips? |

I seem to remember a while ago that my local PC store was selling these 'Mini-Mouses' for use with portable laptops. They were about one third the size of standard mice with a shorter lead, easily fitting into a pocket or side compartment of a laptop bag.
Might be worth considering, they were only about £5 too, so not a premium price. Unfortunately, I can't remember the manufacturer but think it was a reasonably well known one.

I was more thinking someone else had created (or could create) a personal set of key command bindings and shortcuts for laptops that they used that they could share with me. I am sorry if i broke a forum rule kaptainleutenant , i am still new
![]() edit: Things like panning the conn view with arrow keys, like you do with the periscope, or simply relocating some of the keypad commands to unused keys. I dont expect a whole new interface. |

The best solution I've found was to buy a separate USB numpad from Play or Amzon for about £9. It plugs straight into any USB port and works like a charm.
Failing that, if your laptop is anything like mine you'll have an emulated numpad which you can activate. Check your keyboard to see if any of the keys have numbers next to the letters. Next, look for a key labelled "Fn". If you have that, now look for a key labelled "NumLk", probably on the top row of keys (F1 - F12). If you have both, hold down the Fn key and press the NumLk key. The emulated numpad will then be activated. It's not a good solution as SH3 uses some of the emulated numpad keys for other functions, meaning you're forever switching back and forth.
