Default Stuttering when on the watch...

Hi, I have already given up the movement inside the sub the fps is too low and in combination with too sensitive mouse it´s something that might cause my premature departure from this world...

but I have a problem with stutters when on the deck - fraps says that I have 36 FPS - but the movent is not smooth at all - just stuttery - any ideas where to look for a change ? I just can´t stand when the submarine doesn´t move nice and smooth.

I hav got geforce 9600M 512, and dual core procesor and 4gb ram. tried two different drivers versions, tried v-svync and different graphic options...

I had some bad stuttering too until I switched anti-aliasing in the drivers software to "application preference" (GTX260). Since then, no more stutters. Might be worth a try.

I had the same thing when shadows were enabled. Turned them off and all was well.

I've got an I7 with an ATI 4870 and the game stutters badly. It's weird because between the stuttering the frame rate is very high.

I guess the game is doing something every 1 sec or so that is causing it to stutter. The question is, is it the game doing this or the constant communications with Ubi?

Right now the stuttering makes the game unplayable for me because it breaks immersion. This is especially the case on the upper deck where the waves kind of stutter along.

Speaking of waves I did a mission in rough seas and inside the sub it was hardly rocking at all. In SH3 you would be in for a much more rocky ride.

Going back to the subject in hand, even setting my graphics to minimum I still get stuttering with no real change in framerate. There is something about the programming of this game or the DRM which is causing this, which I'm beginning to suspect has nothing to do with the graphics...

Default FPS

I spoke with Tech support reference the server being down.
I asked him about what video card would work to keep the fps up.

HD 5670 1gb 128bit GDDR5. ( 120.00 at buy.com) He said this would work.

fps isn't a problem - they are high - just stuttery ...

5670 is slower than a 4890 I think

i've got an Nvidia Quadro FX770M card on my laptop and the FPS is good enough on low graphics settings.
Only in the interior my FPS drops, but it's still very well playable.

Anything else than low graphics though and i get a slideshow..
