Default SH5 Steam version mod friendly

Hello Kaleuns
I would like to purchase SH5 on Steam. Will it be mod friendly or are there any modding issues when you have a downloaded steam version compare to a DVD version ?

People have reported having no problems with mods on previous SH titles from Steam. Just save a copy to your hard drive (and maybe one to disc) before you start adding mods.

Is STEAM required to play this game? If so, then it's a deal breaker for me. I have had bad experiences with STEAM in the past.

I haven't had any problem with mods with my steam versions of sh3 and 4. However, I haven't had any luck with multiple installations, and I really wish I could.

There is a company called GamersGate that offers the same games as Steam without all the problems with mods and connecting through special Steam application software.

I purchased SH5 through Gamersgate and have had no problems all mods I've installed are working fine.

Highly recommend Gamersgate.
