Default Hope that SH5 100% difficult is more difficult

I think that 100% difficulties must be
1.Save the game only once

2.You can not use three-step measurement method

3.DD found in your ability,
4.DD Long-range shelling of your accuracy,
5.Ship shelling periscope capacity,
6.Ship evade your torpedoes fired capacity,
7.DD of quasi-degree launch depth charges,
8.DD Underwater find that your ability to ......。

Have to be increased

Evil! I hope you mean once per patrol, not per career - or game :-).

I agree, the ships have 'random accuracy' in SH4, would be better if they actually did try to straddle to find your range. Range was pretty accurate, so to have shells falling all over the place doesn't seem 'real'.

They already do, don't they? Or do they... they fire small arms at your scope, but now you mention it, they don't fire main guns. Perhaps their downwards elevation won't allow it?

saving only once per patrol, I hope he meant that. Real captains were'nt that lucky.

Of course destroyers and corvettes should use their main guns on us! We are their main adversaries now. Although, it might be overkill if Rodney started shelling mountains of iron our way. Do you guys now of successful engagements between surface ships and subs at perscope depth - in regards of naval artillery? 10's of meters of water should dampen the impact to a great degree but the scarefactor scores high (quote discovery channel).

It would be so much fun driving 'torpedoes blazing'-style like kretschmer in the early days but if spotted, I would like to see my crew running like cockroaches to submerge me. Any direct hits by anything bigger than a glowing sodacan, and its a looong descent in the cold atlantic. But as a SH:V captain I'm told we can keep pushing out the water

No Im no decrypting specialist, just a swede who just woke up. Cheers!

Huh?
the DDs already accelerate WAY too much... how can a request like that be made, if the acceleration is already off?

1000 tons of steel can only be moved so much... avoiding a well shot eel at 400m leading you... should put an end to your DD career.

I propose a different pattern after depthcharging... just let the DDs zig zag after dropping the ashcans, and make some random movements...

GWX:

DD =
drop depth charges,
make turn.

VII/b =
avoid depth charges at periscope depth,
wait DD turn, set Torpedo depth and speed Maximum
shoot Torpedo at Bow Wave of DD.
wait for impact below front ammo storage
drink beer, watch fireworks
repeat as necessary

If we could have half a dozen ways how the DDs make an attack run, one could not predict their post-attack reactions so easily, and thus nail them every single time...

(up to early 1941 that is)

I think its should be players choice with saves. you dont have to load the last save if u die. but i think you will need to save often as if your connection with ubi servers goes down, then its game over.

So I have to run my pc half a week to play SH5 with low time-compression? If you think saving a game is unrealistic, you don't have to ....

I'd be in support of an Uplink/Dwarf Fortress-style save system where you can't save, other than when you leave the game. I believe this was how it was in SH4, too, only slightly more broken.

Of course this'd be for higher realism settings only.
