Questions: ship sinkings, sub sonar

I have to say I have not read each and every thread, so apologies if this has been asked before, but do have any info whether these two aspects have been improved from SH 3/4, namely:

1. sinkings: In unmodded SH3/4, ships sink after so many hit points and they go down very quickly;

2. sub sonar: the sub sonar will pick up any ships within a certain range, basically an on/off switch, without regards to the sub's depth, sub's speed or weather/sea conditions;

I presume the answer is NO, but it does not hurt to ask.

Shouldn't it be our expectations that the "industry" should meet, rather than us compromising our expectations in the face of an "industry" set in its ways, its choices and its policies.

Can't help you on your question....
