Default GWX 3.0 Crashes After Loading

Hopefully this is a good place to post this, Ive searched the forums and found nothing. For some reason right after I get done loading singleplayer, career, or multiplayer it crashes with a game has stopped working message.
Ive ran it without SH3 Commander and the problem still occurs.

Which OS are you using? I bought a new rig just before Christmas with Windows 7 and that's been happening to me ever since. Vanilla SHIII seems to be working fine: it's the GWX3 I think, that may be the problem, especially when undertaking individual missions. I've tried all other supermods as well, and so far it seems that only LSH is compatible with W7. According to what I've found out browsing, you have to install a virtual XP program into W7. Problem is, this program is only downloadable into W7 Home Premium and upwards. My W7 that came with the computer is Home Basic.

Funny, I just wanted to start a new thread about exactly this problem. But in my case several carreers worked fine - until a specific date, or so it seems. It is 1940. The last patrol in the end of 1939 worked fine, the next one in January 1940 will crash after loading.

Instead of discussing a crack, there is a method approved by SUBSIM and UBISOFT Check out the SH3 Stickies for the link. ( reallydedpoet-Moderator )

edit: The activated mods:

GWX - Lite Harbor Traffic
LifeBoats&Debris_v4
OLC's Modified Searchlight Beams for GWX3

OLC 'Gold' MkII ~ Option 4 ~ Environment with EDE and GUI with LRT
OLC 'Gold' MkII ~ MkIId Update (Enable After MkIIc)
TMT v2
Q Ship mod GWX3.0

This seems to only be happening to people using Windows 7. I'd focus my attention there.

Sehr Geehrter Kapitän-Leutnant Cook,

What you have described is just what has been happening to me. A few weeks ago somebody asked on another thread if anyone was having problems with W7. I straightaway replied that everything was hunky-dory with me in this respect, for I had only just installed SHIII GWX3 into my new W7 rig.

I spoke too soon, because I had just started a 1939 career from Wilhelmshaven and was chugging around Helgoland at the time and I had also just slotted three eels into the unfortunate HMS Barham on a try-out of the individual missions and everything was running A1, or so it seemed to me at the time.

And then...CTD during patrols, CTD after 90% loading of a saved patrol, CTD at 90% loading an individual mission.

I've done everything that I can think of to get the game running as it had done before, everything apart from a compete system restoration. And I do not wish to do that because all my other games are running just fine, which games include SH4 RFB RSRD, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 1 & 2, Call of Duty World at War, Asssassin's Creed and Batman Arkham Asylum.

I am now seriously thinking of undertaking a dual operating system installation so that I can have Windows 7 and XP on my machine: I can see no other way out of this problem.

And that's what's really bugging me about this issue: I bought my SHIII in England 3 years ago. It's a genuine, Starforce free, 1.4b version.

I have come across a lengthy discussion about SHIII/W7 incompatibility on another forum, and the folks there are non too pleased with Ubisoft since that firm is still marketing SHIII and yet there seems to be a very serious issue concerning its playability in W7: the opinion has been voiced that Ubisoft should do something about this
