Hi clayp,
I don't have much but your welcome it. I had a similar problem last moth. I lost all my sub stuff on a different drive when the drive died. I can relate just let me know. Tweety |

Just let us know when you are ready to start. So that's three offers to help already, and I know there are others that just haven't commented yet. Don't make me come over there and kick you in the butt, Captain. I hope you are feeling better medically too!!! You take care and don't sweat the small stuff. We will have you blowing stuff up in no time. As for the "Goodbye", you can't leave the Navy anytime you feel like it. You go when we say you go........got it? Peabody

I know this won't help you now..., but maybe it will help you or someone else in the future.
I had the same thing happen to me a few months ago. Lost nearly everything due to a corrupt hard drive. I learned my lesson though... I bought an external drive for my new system. I don't use it for anything but backups. If you get a Western Digital drive, you can go to their website and download a program called Acronis True Image. It's VERY easy to use. (not trying to advertise for WD... I'm sure there are other good programs out there) About once a week before work, I connect the portable drive (which is stored in another part of the house to improve survivability in the event of disaster) and start the program. It takes about 2 minutes to start the backup, then when I get home, I put the portable back in it's safe place. It's still not a guarantee, but it gives me a little more peace of mind that I won't have to go through that again. Sorry to hear about your loss. It can be pretty devastating when you have so many files and (especially) pictures that are just gone now.

Actually, I use an internal drive for the same purpose, using Acronis True Image to keep a complete image of each of my other drives.
Clay, you just say what you want and we'll make sure you get it. There is nothing out there that someone in this community doesn't have and nothing that we won't be glad to share with you. ![]()

kinda in the same boat as you.
I had recently done a reformat, and forgot to save my MODS folder. Lost all the custom edits i did to my TMO install. And really dont want to go and do them all again because the first time was hassle enough. If it were just installing TMO again, it would be no problem.. but the custom edits.. YARRGH! Will wait for SHV. In the meantime, i've dusted off my Flight controls and stering wheel. Time to get back to my other 2 Simulation hobbies, Falcon and Nascar Racaing 2003. |
