Default Klitschko - Johnson: worst boxing summit I have seen since a long time

Yesterday, I saw the the championship fight between Vitali Klitschko and Kevin Johnson.

What a poor performance by Bigmouth Johnson. One could see it positive and say: he defended his head well against getting hit by a knockout blow, and was quite agile in swinging his head out of reach of Klitschkos destructive right fist.

But that was all he was capable of.

In the days before, Johnson has fired a whole truckload of personal insults and offences. During the fight, he time and again provoked Klitschko. Some may argue that it is okay to provoke the opponent in duel sports, and that - like in war - everything is acceptable that helps to throw the opponent of his balance. However, this is sports, no war. There are limits that separate good from bad style, and separate what is acceptable from what is not.

Johnson is a real looser, although a talented one. For somebody opening his mouth that wide like he did and behaving so arrogant, he better should make sure that he is capable to let his arrogant words and offences follow some convincing deeds. But there was nothing he was capable of. He even did not step into the ring to fight or to win, his only goal was to survive the 12 rounds. In that he was successful. Klitschko won by 120:108, 120:108 and 119:109., giving him 35 of 36 scoring rounds by the three judges.

However, talent or not, K.O.ed or not, Johnson will be remembered as one of the most arrogant and weakest cowards ever having stepped inside the ring for a world championship fight. Just preventing to get hit after having been that noisy and trying to act as a showstar inside the ring, is simply not enough, and only earn well-deserved mockery. He is such a big looser that already after the fight he already was boasting again, saying that he saved Klitschko from humbling defeat only because he was physically hindered by a problem in his elbow.

Klitschko’s brother needed to blitz into the ring after the final bell, to hinder his brother to get engaged in a private 13th round, for even after the final bell, Johnson could not behave with style and fired another volley of words at he champion in order to provoke him. Just that he himself had not shown anything – that probably will never make it inside this bigmouth’s dumb mind.

Sometimes the biggest losers are those making the most noise, and this looser even was too cowardish trying to take a risk in seeking to attack, although he was the challenger. But the width of his jaw surely is second to none.

What a loser, and what a lousy fight to watch. Before he steps into a ring for a championship fight next time, he better makes sure he has more to offer than just arrogance, the will to not get hit, and "talent".

I used to like watching boxing as a kid. Then I saw a fight I had been waiting for with Tyson against some white guy. Tyson knocked him out with like the first hit, the match lasted 12 seconds or so. That sucked. Havent watched boxing since then.

Marvin Hagler versus Ray Leonard. Most fascinating fight I have ever seen. Power versus technique, a hammer versus a foil, hot pepper versus sweet sugar. The latter won.

Yeah the fight was a real borefest. Lousy fighter that Johnson, after all that hot air I would've expected more from him but he didn't show anything at all, apart from good dodging skills and bad sportsmanship.
