Default Questions About the Museum

I am playing with a load of 1.4 Basic SH IV and wondered why only the US ships show up in the musem? Is there a mod to add the other nationality ships?

And is there a way to get the camera to zoom in further on the ships? all seem to have a default stop at some distance.

And.... is there a mod to lower the ships in the water? i am seeing bottom paint on some including the old four piper DD that my grandfather would keelhaul the Master Chief over if he saw the load out presuming that ship is outbound and carrying a supposedly full load of fuel and stores?

thanks for any info on this. Sorry if these are noob questions, i just wondered ...

There's a drop down menu box along the top edge, middle of the screen.

>>And is there a way to get the camera to zoom in further on the ships? a

By mod.

>>is there a mod to lower the ships in the water?

Old problem, fixed by mods.

>>I am playing with a load of 1.4 Basic SH IV

If you get into SH4, do yourself a big favor and get the UBM expansion. Even if you have no interest in uboats in SH4. The carrot incentive is patch 1.5 which is bundled into UBM.

I have the expansion but i am studying SH IV in the original version for a number of reasons... but thanks for the suggestion.

Can anyone tell me what mod allows the museum camera to go in closer? i dont want any of the supermods at the moment, just wanted to see the models a bit closer in the museum if possible. I can do it in the sim itself I think, but wondered about the museum. thanks

These are very rare antique ships, please do not go beyond the roped off area. Do not touch the displays, do not feed the animals. Children must be under adult supervision at all time.

Well, there are better ways to do it, but a very quick, easy way to get a closer look is S3D, Open library/cameras.dat. Find the museum camera, open the node by clicking +. Find the CameraParams, open and change the AngularAngle value. It will change the perspective a bit but if you try 15 it will get you quite close but you won't be able to back up very far. So it's really just like I said, "A quick and easy way" to get a closer look without much hassle or modding.

THANK YOU! that was just what i needed Peabody. Ya, i iknow they are rare and old but i just HAVETA get in closer, i want to see if the officers are lollygagging on the bridge, and have to see what that Bosun is doing with a squad behind that lifeboat. I really love the detail on these ships, as an old time wargammer with only table top waterline models to play with, these are really amazing.... so i wanted to poke around and try to get some fun screeneis. thanks for the tips.

/me backs away from the aging bulkheads and falls down two flights of ladders from the flying bridge and lands in the chain locker
