Default This ruined a game for me

One of my favorite games, Battlefield 1942/Vietnam/BF2. I get into it every couple of months, for several days. I noticed a year or so ago that there were some supernaturally good players, I could start shooting them and they would turn and blast me dead. I figured there was a cheat or hack, but never really checked until tonight.

No point in playing that game anymore.

its really sad that some people actually have fun or believe themselves to be, and i quote "1337", by cheating.

the video about the "long range pistol kills" is specially sad, being that they used the song "The Game", and i don't think that its just a nice sense of humor or irony.

I have played BF2 for years and have seen a cheater once. The best method to avoid cheaters in BF2 is to stay out of Karkand & Jalabad those two maps are like the dust & dust2 of Counter-Strike, cheater's heavens.

EDIT: Ow and you arent really helping the issue by posting links to BF2hack sites.

This and general attitude/behaviour in pub games is what made me stop playing any public or pickup games. League/Ladder play is usually much more satisfying, but finding a good group to play with can be a major pain.

Of course though there is the opposite, where you get accused of cheating, when you are just really good at the game, had that happen often enough when I was younger. I will say though there is nothing more satisfying then beating the crap out of a cheater (assuming they are not using some sort of lag/invulnerability hack)

Thise is the fate of the most popular online games if you ask me. Bots, hacks and other nasty staff make the game boring and pointless .

You put it down quite negative if i might say...
IF and only IF you seech for fairness in the virtual world as a desperate attempt to escape the reality, you're doing a weak path...............

I don't see how I could pretend the virtual world to be more "fair" than the real world -> that would be an issue !!!

getting more back to the topic, BF2:

Yes it's ture, it's frustrating to die.

I have been into "real" military actions. Actually quite virtual themselves, because the war area we were sent to, turned out to be no war area

Into action, I would love to have trusthful people around me, people with four eyes.

Even then, the battlefield is a complex and quickly developing situation. You can be killed on the spot anytime, because it is always unlickely that the enemy is fully calculable.

BF2 is just that. A lot of means put at the disposal of your faction, manned by people like you and me.

My brother just tells me he has a global ban on COD4 for "wallhacking" or something.

Sorry to laugh, but he got what he deserved. That bunny-hopping brat.

* Now i feel bad, darn conscience. He says he didn't hack at all; would really suck to be banned for no reason after sinking so much time into it.
