Default Underground crystals

Amazing place. Holds the worlds biggest crystals. Not easy to visit though! Warm, humid and 300m underground. Probably feels like being at crush depth...

Crystal Cave of Giants

Looks like a scfi-movie.

And along came Porphy, bringing a huge, big hammer with him...

Yes it does look like a sci fi movie.

The beauty of nature never fails to impress me

J.G. Ballard: The Crystal World.

SF novel, 1966.

P.S.
Damn, just found out the guy died April this year, age 79. He was quite prominent a writer, though considered as somewhat controversial. But Crystal World always has fascinated me for the visual imagination of this end of the world. It may be the end, but a visually beautiful one...

Not sure if this is the same cave or another one, (Apparently there's 2 of them in the same area), But the crystals have claimed a Darwin Award http://darwinawards.com/darwin/darwin2001-10.html
