I discovered that (at least in GWX) merchants are reported using the words "Ship spotted! Bearing XXX, Range YYY". But escorts are only reported using "Ship spotted!". I want escorts to be also reported with bearing and range.
Any ideas how to do that? Or is it hardcoded bahaviour? |

Do you have a watch officer on the bridge.

yes, i always have when surfaced. but escorts are only reported "ship spotted" by one of the watchmen, i think, but not by the WO.
i want escorts to be reported "ship spotted, bearing xxx, range yyy" by the WO, but he seems only to be able to report merchants, planes and perhaps warships but not escorts and destroyers |

There is a command in the command_en file to report contact. ([Cmd434]
Name=Report_nearest_visual_contact Ctxt=1 MnID=0x3F0A0008) If you assign a key to this command, maybe it will do this. If it doesn't, I don't think you can get this info. Perhaps you are ment to CRASH DIVE ![]() ![]() ![]()

Yes, pretty much. But, first you need to identify what country warship it is unless it shows you which side its on..you'll notice if it does not shoot at you by the time it gets within its wanted range of fire
