Radar Depth Setting

In TMO with RSRD I've found that going to about 40 to 50 feet, depending on sea state, the surface radar functions, and it's very handy.

Is there a button to put the boat at this depth?

All the way to the right on the HUD in Command room tab, TMO 1.8B.

In RFB I've gone to radar depth and the thing turns on and spins but it's missing contacts I know are there. They aren't 20,000 yd away either at the edge of the radar's range.
