Default No such thing as "Neutral" convoys anymore!!

Either someone at BDU has made a glorious cockup, or someone is disseminating false reports out to the uboats. I recieved a report of a large Neutral convoy heading my way, and since they are neutral, I normally ignore such reports.

But tonight, for some reason, my interest was piqued and I plotted a rough course. Amid rain and heavy fog I found myself accidently AMONG the convoy and fired upon....neutral "my stern tubes" to borrow I phrase I heard someone use here!!

The convoy had one Greek ship in it, the rest from what I could see were a mix of primarily BRITISH and a few AUSTRALIAN ships. This was a "neutral" convoy full of enemy ships!!! After a light depth charging in the shallow waters, of which U100 survived unscathed despite being picked up a couple of times on the ASDIC, all was well and I sailed away.

However, from now on, I think in future all so called "Neutral" convoys that are reported in my area will be treated first and foremost as an enemy convoy, until neutrality can be verified.

Does anyone else prosecute neutral convoys at all?

It's caused by how the game builds convoys, there is one central ship around which all others are anchored, if this ship is neutral the convoy counts as neutral even if it's the only neutral ship there.
For this reason I always investigate all convoy reports.

Personally, if they're being escorted by the enemy, they're going down whatever flag they're flying.

Yeah, I was quite shocked to be honest. But in future, I shall intercept all convoys, neutral or otherwise There were some real beuts in this convoy too, tankers, whaling ships....if only I'd known before hand!!! Could've racked up some serious tonnage there.

next time....next time....

After all, if they really were Neutral, they wold have no need to form escorted convoys since noone makes war on them, right? So if they do form a convoy, ther are in war? So, Tubes one to five ready!

Convoys and Task Forces are defined by the lead element (ship) in the convoy. This is simply the first ship in the convoy list. It does not mean that the rest of the convoy are the same.
