Default Bedbugs!

Unfortunately actual ones...Not a funny Youtube clip or anything like that.

Anyone have any experience dealing with them? I'm starting to think it's not a mosquito that's getting me the past couple nights in a row, I would have found him by now. And I just got back from a hotel about two weeks ago...

There are several varieties of them, it would help to know what to do if you could narrow down which ones are 'bugging' you. You might want to take the bed sheets etc. and wash them, and treat yourself with this ointment that is available in pharmacies.

Also, set this as your uboat emblem.

It's summertime now, so that's good. Take all your bedding and leave it outside in the sun all day, and the next, and the one after that, including mattresses. this will heat it up beyond what the bugs like and many will just plain leave the bedding. It will also dry it out, depriving it of moisture. this is in addition to using bleach or some commercial preparation to wash what you can.

while the bedding is outside, go over all the bedframes thoroughly with bug spray. (at this stage, if you really have bedbugs, you should see them scurrying around)

however, eggs may survive, so you may have to repeat this cycle a few times before the population is worn down.

I'll get them, yes I will! I've torn apart my bed, washed and dryed everything but the box spring and mattress. Will vacuum everything and visually inspect later.

A simple way to differentiate between them: A mosquito will bite exposed skin. A bedbug will bite what's under the covers.
