Default Snow, forest colors

Has anyone here tried to make snow work...

Forest colors for seasons?

Just playing around, but wonder if it's been worked on before.

Weird...I was wondering this morning, about snow.

I think it was after reading another post that read something about large waves. But snow would be great. Super big waves too .

Yes, it sorta works. I'm just playing and learning to mod. The only thing is making it work near the poles. Wish I could get some ice or snow to cover the sub.......Have made heavy fog without rain that works or looks good and some spring showers...light rain with some clouds and sun...but the more I learn so many factors lead to other factors and so on...almost endless it seems. I just like a heavy fog look without rain. The ships coming out of heavy fog look ghostly.

I saw some forest files that had differnt seasons or looks. Haven't opened them and have no clue. The tree's render terrible anyway, but would be cool to have fall forest looks.

Course I'm just learning the basic using another install and would a long time before I would put a mod out.

well it gets tricky because most of the time changes like that are all or nothing so if it snows there it snows everywhere and as far as i know its not tied to temperatures at all. but maybe you can find some way to do that .

it sounds like a great project

Be nice if forests could be deleted from where they didn't exist because of permafrost or tundra. You're off the coast of Iceland, Jan Mayen or Spitsbergen and there are lovely conifer forests there. Must be global warming.

well we know you can add new shapes and textures for the new ships that were added yet never existed in the game so im thinking it is doable for the land objects too, but i dont know how you would go about doing it.

im sure others who do know how these things are done may have ideas on this subject.
