Sense of Freshness

A new supermarket opened in Destin , FL . It has an automatic water mister to keep the produce fresh. Just before it goes on, you hear the sound of distant thunder and the smell of fresh rain. When you pass the milk cases, you hear cows mooing and you experience the scent of fresh mown hay. In the meat department there is the aroma of charcoal grilled steaks with onions. When you approach the egg case, you hear hens cluck and cackle, and the air is filled with the pleasing aroma of bacon and eggs frying. The bread department features the tantalizing smell of fresh baked bread and cookies.

I don't buy toilet paper there any more.

Anyhow good thing they dident put the smell of the henhouse in the egg section too. :rotfl:

Publix a local florida chain has had the 'thunder' thing for the produce misters for a couple of years now. I still remember the first time I heard it I was like "What in the world !?"

The old Shop Rite in Meriden, CT had that same misting system in the mid 1990s. I remember it taking me by quite a surprise. I was in the veggie section and then I hear a thunderclap and I think they also made the lights over the veggie shelves flash and dim. Then water misted out everwhere as the thunder continued to rumble. It sounded like the veggie section was in the middle of a monsoon.
