Graphics problem

I don't know if this is the right section for this, if not I apologise. I've reached the stage where I am totally unable to find an answer to this problem. I have a pretty fast computer on which I'm trying to run an XFX 8800GTS graphics card. GWX3 starts fine as does WAC, but after about 10 minutes, the graphics become totally corrupted. The icons in the game become black blobs, the crew start wearing psychadelic coloured uniforms, ships become various random colours. I've tried various card drivers,upgraded the MOBO Bios,put in more case fans etc. I've monitored the GPU temperature using NVidia Monitor and the highest it's been is 55C.I'm completely stumped as to what is the cause.Any help or even suggestions as to what it could be,would be gratefully appreciated.

Sounds like your video card is about to die.

I had a similar problem and mine was a CODEC problem,didn't have the right one,could be worth a try

Is power a problem? My new video card needed a lot more power and I had to upgrade my PSU at the same time.

Alot of newer video cards also require a separate power connector from the PSU to be hooked up to them.

Maybe it`s a heat problem. Clean your fans etc.
