2 problems I have noticed with Hitman's very good 'Hitman's Optics for GWX3v.1' mod

Let me just first say that I think Hitman's optics mod is very good, and has great accessibility when you need to quickly update firing data on the fly. However,I have noticed 2 problems with it,and I cant tell if it is me doing something wrong,or if there is a conflict somewhere.
1- I am unable to alter the bearing dial while looking through the UZO.
AOB dial works fine though.
Bearing dial works fine in the TDC screen.
2- The depth dial appears to go no higher than 3m,yet works fine in the TDC screen, allowing depths of 1m if needed.

Is this a recognized problem?

Thanks!

Hummm no I had not heard of the torpedo dial problem before, but yes I had noticed it won't go higher than 3 metres What I didn't know is that it was supposed to go up to 1 metre

Will need to look at it, but anyway I was going to get busy with the final version of the optics as soon as I finish testing the 20km environment for GWX

If I remember correctly NYGM restricted the depth of the torpedo to at least 3m. Since Hitman is a NYGM user (as far as I remember), he might have introduced this feature unintentionally. I think the restriction is done in dials.cfg by restricting the angle of the dial.

LGN1,

Is there any historical relevance to the 3m restriction?,or are they simply user preferences?,and if so,why would they want the restriction?

Thanks.

Hi Paul,

I don't remember exactly, but you can read the reasons in the NYGM manual.

I think it was because of historical reasons. In the first years the torpedos always ran too deep so a torpedo depth of less than 3m was not possible. In addition, breaking the surface usually results in a dud in real life, but not in the game. All these surface runners in the game are thus very unrealistic. Anyway, if you want to know the exact reasons check the manual.

Cheers, LGN1

Edit: You can find the information in this thread

Thanks for that.

Interesting about the dud, didnt know a surface runner would cause that, now I do
