Default How about a mod that tells you reason for death ?

If its doable could the screen when you are dead have some info on why ?
Like damage from depth charges
Struck by airplane
Rammed by DD etc

Just a thought nothing more

I would think that it might be a bit difficult, as the game counts Hull Integrity. I am not sure the game can keep track of all the accumulative damage that has inflicted on you.

In the GWX file en_menu.txt, look for these index entries:

560=U-Boat destroyed.
561=U-Boat destroyed by collision.
562=U-Boat destroyed by pressure.
563=U-Boat destroyed by flooding.

Now you know that the game does take into account some types of damage.

I suppose you could change those to be more specific, but collision covers things like ramming or hitting a dock, pressure would cover things like diving past crush depth or being crushed between two depth charge detonations, flooding is self-explanatory, and line index 506 covers pretty much everything else.
