To save me searching and searching through the files, can anyone tell me exactly where the funnel smoke particle generators are?

that depends on the MOD (or Stock-SH3) you are using. IIRC, nearly 3 years ago ANVART made a MOD with 3 different smoke types (integrated in the "particles.dat"). ATM you can find 5 differnet smoke types in he particles.dat LSH3 is using (small Diesel smoke, modern big warships, normal merchant, old merchant and submarines), based on ANVART's great MOD. The new WAC version has different types of smoke too. Greetings rowi58 |

Hi OLC,
i know, GWX is using one type of funnel smoke. But you can add more types to the particles.dat and then - you must decide, which ships should use the new smoke type. Which type of smoke is used by the ship is writen in the SIM file: see "obj_Funnel" and refer at "smoke=..." to the correct ID (of the smoke type). Greetings rowi58 |

Cool...if yer modding the smoke might I ask if you could do everything you can to avoid that horrible blocky repeated texture tiled effect, even if it means much less smoke.
