Default Why are online maps so lame?

Googlemaps is great to search, zoom, and explore, but when you go to print, they cut the map down to half size, and half the page is blank. Waste!

Urg, anyone have any alternative? Mapquest appears similarly useless

Why don't you use greaseproof paper, lay it on top of the screen and copy the map with a pencil?

He'll probably get a big piece of paper and some Crayola crayons and make his own map.

I did my maps via google earth. Well you need to put a little work into screenshots edit before applying picture to MS Word for printing but it can be done without too much efforts..

I already prepared my route maps in Kiel

Kind of a toss-up for me ... more blank paper, yes - but less expensive ink used.

Well, can you see me trying to navigate a motorcycle with that, I'd end up in a ditch for sure! Besides: $800 (gasp!)

Oh boy, somewhere I've given you the wrong impression about my means!

Sigh, I guess I will have to break down and buy some kind of map book for the US.
