i got a question for the seasoned or fresh captains out there...probably gonna laugh at me, but can the gramaphone play anykind of music file that you put into the game gramaphone music folder? im thinking of putting soundtracks of Das Boot, or adagio for strings (love that piece) in.

the sound files in the gramaphone are ogg files. So you got yo convert them to that or og find some gramaphone mods like i did

Yes, I believe it works that way. They do need to be in a certain format though. A .ogg, from the looks of it.

There are some free converters out there that convert .wmv files to .ogg files. Check on Google.
I'm wanting to do that as well to some of my music. I want to entertain the crew with some jazz and some Jimmy Buffett when we head back down to the Caribbean. ![]()

I couldn't get the ogg files to play, so I had to convert them all to MP3. For me the only music files that play in the gramophone directory are Mp3 files.

That's odd. The usual complaint is that MP3s skip, and .wav or .ogg are far better. Ogg is the best in that case because they are about 1/10 the size of .wav.
Still, whatever works best for you, stick with it.
