Default Fight Back order and the Luftwaffe

A couple of questions.

In MookieMookie's excellent Black May thread he mentions Onkel Karl's fight back order and shoots down an attacking Wellington. What is this order of which he speaks? I like to try and play somewhat realistically.....

Second, if you call in contact reports like convoys does the Luftwaffe come out and attack them and if they do can you observe this?

Finally, I have to say that subsim is just about the friendliest and most helpful forum of any kind on the internet.

Thanks all.

If the convoy (must be 3 ships? Not sure) is within range of the luftwaffe, then they will come and steal your kill. :P

And you can see this? Because it would be worth watching the show at least once. Do they come out in Stukas?

Yeah, you get to see them. Sometimes, they have stukas, sometimes other things. However, everytime, there are explosions, so watch them!

yes, I read you must be in visual contact with at least 3 ships and to be in the air range, e.g. within 800km of radius from Brest in order to send properly the assistance message. Once this happens succesfully, you'll see your sent message in radioroom (M) with convoy heading, grids, speed.

Wait for 1-2 hours and you will get a nice air show......

Yep it can be fb, Had a patrol in spring 1940 off the east coast of the UK, Clear calm day, Found a convoy, radioed in and then dived to attack, Took out 2 merchants and the 3 escorts in my pass through, then surfaced 3000m behind to use the deck gun Was plugging away when 11 HE-111's showed up Was an awesome sight and I was in perfect spectator position
