USS Texas

For those interested (especially if you made the last subsim meet)

I have long heard that the USS Texas is depicted by computer animation shelling the island of Iwo Jima in the movie "Flags of our Fathers".

I have found the scene and it looks just like her

she appears at about 6 seconds in letting loose with a full broadside

pause it at 6 seconds and compare to this image

You are correct. The same scene was used in "Letters from Iwo Jima" as well.

It's listed in the trivia section of IMDB.com for both movies.
