How do you find Gimp...
I find it a pain to load... It's worse than PS, and a 1000x times worse than Windoze Picture viewer.. As an example.. while doing my wheel I would have a 17MB bmp file, and would like to have a quick peek at it. Gimp would literally get stuck on it, never opening, whereas windoze would view the pic in less than 0.5 seconds. If they want to do open source to beat Bill, they'd better shape up .. big time. ![]() |

Try Paint.net. Another excellent free image editor.
I occasionally use Gimp too, I've got no problems with loading images using Gimp whatsoever. Gimp's got a good load of functionality, you can do pretty much anything you can do with payware image editors like photoshop. But I find Gimp's GUI extremely hard to work with, whereas Paint.net is very user-friendly. |
